If you’re searching for an estate wedding venue in Florida that feels timeless from start to finish, this Adams Estate wedding is such a good example. Anna-Claire and Ryan got married at Adams Estate in Lake Alfred, Florida, with a classic sage and champagne color palette. Everything about this celebration felt joyful, sweet, and bright. We even got the prettiest golden hour sunset at the perfect time for couples portraits!
The way I connected with this couple is still one of my favorite stories. I was in the Dominican Republic photographing a wedding at Sanctuary Cap Cana when Anna-Claire messaged me. She said she followed my work and wanted to inquire. Then we realized she and Ryan were staying at the exact same resort. Same week. Same property. In a whole other country. It felt like God was making the introduction for us.
Adams Estate Wedding Venue in Lake Alfred, Florida
Located midway between Orlando and Tampa in Lake Alfred, Florida, Adams Estate is an estate wedding venue Florida couples love for a reason. The historic property sits on more than 24 acres with citrus groves, and a 700+ acre lake surrounds the estate on three sides—so you get an expansive waterfront backdrop all day.
This mansion wedding venue includes exclusive use of the Estate House, Wedding Garden, Lakefront Terrace, and the glass-enclosed, climate-controlled tent during your event window (check out the event spaces here). For Anna-Claire and Ryan, that layout made the day feel seamless: outdoor ceremony on the lawn overlooking the water, reception outside on the brick patio, then dancing in the tent. It’s the best of both worlds—outdoor beauty with a built-in rain plan.

Getting Ready at Adams Estate: Boathouse & Main House
Adams Estate in Lake Alfred has two separate getting ready spaces that are both picture-perfect in their own ways. Ryan and his crew got ready at the boathouse overlooking the lake. Anna-Claire got ready in the main house with her mom and sisters. Her little sister as maid of honor and a first look with her girls and dad made the whole morning feel extra sweet. Anna-Claire’s bridal style was simple and timeless—a strapless A-line wedding gown for her (with the most beautiful bridal heels!) and champagne satin dresses for her bridesmaids. The men wore classic black tuxedos with a pop of fun socks.

Waterfront Ceremony in the Wedding Garden
This outdoor ceremony at Adams Estate captured classic estate elegance. In the Wedding Garden, you get waterfront views covered by old-growth oaks, with plenty of seating on the lawn for your guests. Anna-Claire and Ryan waited to see each other until she walked down the aisle, and his emotional reaction said everything! One of my favorite details at the ceremony site was the linen welcome sign—simple, but so elevated.
If you want a mansion wedding venue in south Florida that feels classic but still emotional, this outdoor ceremony space delivers. (Some of my favorite Orlando wedding venues have beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception spaces—see weddings I’ve captured at Bella Collina, Epping Forest Yacht Club, and Bella Cosa Lakeside).

Outdoor Couple Portraits & Wedding Party Photos
This couple and their wedding party had such a joyful vibe! I loved their elevated and timeless color palette of champagne, sage, and ivory with gold accents. During the ceremony, Ryan surprised Anna-Claire with an extra wedding band during the ring exchange, which was a sweet moment. That’s why you’ll see everyone asking to see her ring right after the ceremony. Those quick, real reactions are some of my favorite moments to capture! The golden hour glow was really showing off during Anna-Claire and Ryan’s couple portraits—the outdoor views at Adams Estate are truly stunning!

Reception Details for Dinner on the Open-Air Terrace
Anna-Claire and Ryan’s simple yet elevated wedding style was on full display for their dinner reception on the open-air terrace. With understated sage and gold accents, the clean white palette was perfect for the floral-motif wedding cake and white rose floral arrangements on all the tables. All of these decor choices popped against the deep red brick pavers on the terrace. Once everyone gathered, the couple’s choreographed first dance and several sentimental toasts from friends and family brought all of the emotions.

Late-Night Dancing in the Glass Tent
When it was time to party, everyone moved into the glass-enclosed tent for dancing and their live band kept the dance floor full. Anna-Claire changed her outfit into a short lace party dress and she looked amazing (this is where flash photos shine, especially the ring shots). And the late-night “Flaming Doughnuts” station was a crowd favorite—part dessert, part show, and very photo-friendly. It was the perfect way to keep the party going.
